TEAM GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING

July 27, 2005

Ben Yates called the meeting to order at 4:00.

Gary Duncan accepted appointment of parliamentarian by Ben Yates.

Mike Wadleigh made the motion to approve the July 27,2004 minutes as read, 2nd by Kara Paris, and they were approved.

Mark Arnold gave the treasurers report consisting of a financial statement:
            --checking account balance $3,277.07
            --scholarship account balance $2,754.16
            --operating fund reserve $613.06
            --TEAM membership 230
Mark also presented a budget for 2005-06

Walt Pollard made the motion to approve the budget and report, 2nd by Loren Hall, and they were approved.

Ben Yates gave the MOACTE report:
--we have 57 pre-registered for the conference and added 20 since
--the board voted to support Gary Duncan and Steve McNaught to run for MOACTE president next year

Steve Spicher gave the TSA report stating:
--Missouri now has an officer at the national level
--Steve passed out the TSA calander of activities
--nationals were in Chicago 6/28-7/2, 2005 with 60 members attending
--Fall conference is set for Oct. 20-22, 2005
--TSA state conference was 4/28-30/2005

Steve McNaught gave the publications report:
--Steve announced we are moving to one large newsletter each year along with several flyer type letters/notices as needed.

John Petsch gave a report on awards program/expo/state contest:
--John asked for volunteers to fill positions on the contest committee to keep it going

Carter Fawkes gave the website report:
--Carter asked for everyone to join the forum and continue to send him info for the site
--he announced the new format with the district information pages, etc.

Ben Yates discussed the need for a president-elect of TEAM and asked for volunteers from the floor.  After much discussion, we decided to accept nominations until 8/30/2005 and hold the election via mail ballot.

NEW BUSINESS

--Ben Yates conducted new officer elections:

Ben Yates nominated Keith Stayton for secretary, John DeBey moved nominations cease, Mark Arnold 2nd, and it passed.  Keith Stayton was elected by acclamation.

Ben Yates proceeded to swear in the new TEAM officers:
Steve Goodman—president
Keith Stayton---secretary

Steve Goodman made some presidential remarks:
--he introduced himself and his family
--Steve discussed his personal goals for his 12 month term including:
            --a dues structure change to include MOACTE and TEAM together
            --several district sponsored workshops throughout the year
            --a possible name change for the organization

Steve McNaught made conference announcements including parking permits, the recognition dinner, the golf sign-up, PAC money was collected and the all division social at Remingtons.

Fall conference was announced for 10/1/2005 at CMSU

Loren Hall made the motion to adjourn
