TEAM GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING
July 27, 2004
Ted Wilkinson called the meeting to order AT 1:30.
Ted Wilkerson recognized and introduced new members and attendees.
Dan Eckard accepted appointment of parliamentarian by Ted Wilkerson.
Jim Hogan made the motion to approve the agenda, 2nd by Wyman King, and we approved it.
Mark Arnold made the motion to approve the minutes (posted on the website), 2nd by Joe Panhorst, and they were approved.
Mark Arnold gave the treasurers report consisting of a financial statement:
--checking
account balance $547.16
--scholarship
account balance $3,234.19
--operating
fund reserve $6,026.41
--TEAM membership

Mark also presented a budget for 2004-05:
Gary Duncan gave the ITEA report stating:
--we have a new membership drive with $25 for the first year
Dr Wright also stated
--we need to work the 2005 conference in KC April 3-5 at Bartle Hall
Doug Miller gave the TSA report stating:
--Missouri now has an officer at the national level
--we have 36 chapters and 3,126 members
--we have 12 new schools (chapters) this year
--Fall conference registration info is online
--TSA state conference is scheduled for 4/28-30/2005
John Petsch gave a report on awards program/expo/state contest:
--contest results are in the newsletter and expo results are forthcoming
--next years contest is set up for Lodge of the Four Seasons
NEW BUSINESS
--Don Bradshaw conducted new officer elections:
Rick Carleton nominated Steve Goodman for president elect, Mark Arnold moved nominations cease, Ben Yates 2nd, and it passed. Steve Goodman was elected by acclamation.
Don Bradshaw proceeded to swear in the new TEAM officers:
Ben Yates—president
Steve Goodman—president elect
Mark Arnold—treasurer
Ben Yates conducted the district caucus and collected district info forms.
Steve McNaught made conference announcements including parking permits, the recognition dinner, the golf sign-up, PAC money totaled $254 and the all division social at Remingtons.
Doug Miller gave the DESE report:
--stated the DESE newsletter is available on the DESE website
--discussed MAP vs. ACT testing in schools
--SB 1080 passed and amends performance levels on the MAP from 5 to 4
--FV3 forms no longer exist at the state—they have updated/simplified
forms now
--Doug announced DESE staff openings
--from core data, the number of IA teachers in Mo. is down from 928 to 750
for next year
Ben Yates made some announcements:
--he recognized the 2003/04 executive board
--he recognized the new professionals at the conference
--set the fall conference for 10/2/2004 at CMSU
--discussed MITE, the conference breakout sessions, and evaluation forms.
